Study on boron removal performance of covalent organic skeleton membrane by hydroxyl groups

چکیده

Growing demand for water desalination promoted the vigorous development of reverse osmosis (RO) membrane. How to effectively remove boron from seawater is key problem be solved by RO It important select suitable membrane materials experimental design before complicated and expensive attempts. In this paper, we demonstrate that pore chemistry plays a role in removal capability membranes via nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulations. This study shows introduction hydroxyl (-OH) groups into Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) allows better without changing permeability. The optimal rejection AB-COF 76.67%, ATFG-COF with can achieve 90%. caused hydrophilic will preferentially adsorb molecules prevent passage boric acid through zone. Additionally, -OH on also part membranes, reducing amount entering permeate side. results obtained paper provide guidance rational more efficient removal.
